Boris Najman

A Professor and Researcher in Economics at the Department of Economics of University Paris East Créteil (UPEC) since 2002, and a research fellow at Center for Social and Economic Research (CASE), Poland, Boris Najman began his career as an economic policy advisor in Ukraine in 1994.

He has lectured in the field of labour and development economics at Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne; HEC; Sciences-Po; Madrid Carlos 3; Belgrade; Sienna; Lille; Versailles-Saint Quentin; ITC-ILO (Torino); Lucca; the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and Vietnam National University.

Professor Najman has provided analysis of recent labour market developments, informal economy and poverty in the EU, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, and has advised on governance and macro-economic analysis in Ukraine, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro.

Professor Najman has worked on projects funded by the EU and international agencies (UNDP, USAID, EUROPEAID, ILO). His current research interests focus on informal competition and labour productivity in Africa.
