WEBINAR – The COVID-19 pandemic is more than a health crisis. It is presenting exceptional challenges to human development around the world, including the Arab States region. According to the Human Development Report Office at UNDP, human development is expected to go down across the majority of countries for the first time in 30 years.

The webinar discusses the implications of COVID-19 from a human development perspective, by addressing the preparedness of countries to respond to the pandemic and their vulnerabilities. It lays a special focus on the socio-economic implications of the crisis on the Arab States and also explores what the UN and UNDP are doing to stay ahead of the curve.
